This is the AIRS, AMSU-A, and HSB weekly operations status report for Friday, April 3, 2026 (the end of week 1248 of the Aqua mission).
 
AIRS:  The AIRS instrument remains healthy with all voltages, currents, and temperatures as expected.
AMSU-A1:  AMSU-A1 is healthy except for channels 4, 5, 6, and 7.
AMSU-A2:  AMSU-A2, which provided channels 1 and 2 of the AMSU-A suite, suffered a non-recoverable loss of power on September 24, 2016 and is no longer operational.
HSB:  HSB has been non-operational since February 2003 due to a scanner anomaly.


Instrument activities since previous report:

An AIRS guard test ran on Sunday, March 29.  Here is the timeline (UT):
   088/22:58:00 AIRS Guard Test begins (AIRS in CHECKOUT mode)
   088/23:25:00 AIRS back in OPERATE mode

MODIS Lunar Calibration #258 was executed Tuesday, March 31.  Here is the timeline (UT):
   090/09:30:00  AIRS put into READY mode prior to Lunar Cal  
   090/09:55:00  AIRS back in OPERATE mode

1) An AIRS photometric calibration test is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7.  Here is the timeline (UT):
