This is the AIRS, AMSU-A, and HSB weekly operations status report for Friday, February 14, 2025 (the end of week 1188 of the Aqua mission). AIRS: The AIRS instrument remains healthy with all voltages, currents, and temperatures as expected. AMSU-A1: AMSU-A1 is healthy except for channels 4, 5, 6, and 7. AMSU-A2: AMSU-A2, which provided channels 1 and 2 of the AMSU-A suite, suffered a non-recoverable loss of power on September 24, 2016 and is no longer operational. HSB: HSB has been non-operational since February 2003 due to a scanner anomaly. Instrument activities since previous report: MODIS Lunar Calibration #242 was executed on Saturday, February 8. Here is the timeline (UT). 039/22:34:00 AIRS put into READY mode prior to Lunar Cal 039/22:59:00 AIRS back in OPERATE mode Risk Mitigation (debris avoidance) Maneuver #165 was executed on Thursday, February 13. Here is the timeline (UT): 044/00:22:15 AIRS Thruster Suspend sequence starts 044/00:23:35 AIRS in Ready mode, DC Restores suspended, scanner parked 044/00:26:21 Attitude Hold Mode (use of thrusters may begin) 044/00:27:15 Burn begins (duration 10 seconds) 044/00:27:25 Burn ends 044/00:28:26 Fine Point Mode (use of thrusters ends) 044/02:07:15 AIRS Thruster Resume sequence starts 044/02:08:08 Scanner scanning, DC Restores resumed, AIRS in Operate mode Upcoming events: There are no instrument activities currently scheduled. Daily plots of noise levels for each AIRS channel are available on the AIRS webpage at https://airs.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/instrument-operations/. A link there currently points to where the files are hosted at https://thunder.jpl.nasa.gov/nedt_trends/html/airs_channel_nedt_trends.html. For each channel there are plots for the whole AIRS mission and for the last 2 months. Going forward, weekly Ops status updates will be archived at the same webpage above, and are hosted at https://airsteam.jpl.nasa.gov/report/latest and https://airsteam.jpl.nasa.gov/report/archive/. ================================================================== William Mathews - AIRS Instrument Operations NASA / Jet Propulsion Laboratory
