This is the AIRS, AMSU-A, and HSB weekly operations status report for Friday, December 6, 2024 (the end of week 1178 of the Aqua mission).

 
AIRS:  The AIRS instrument remains healthy with all voltages, currents, and temperatures as expected.
AMSU-A1:  AMSU-A1 is healthy except for channels 4, 5, 6, and 7.
AMSU-A2:  AMSU-A2, which provided channels 1 and 2 of the AMSU-A suite, suffered a non-recoverable loss of power on September 24, 2016 and is no longer operational.
HSB:  HSB has been non-operational since February 2003 due to a scanner anomaly.


Instrument activities since previous report:

   There were no instrument activities this past week.
  

Upcoming events:

1) A new set of gain & circumvention tables (Optimum, A-only, and B-only) will be uploaded.
The tables have been generated and sent to the Aqua flight team.  The channels whose A/B weights will change were listed in last week's report.  Here is an abbreviated list showing only weather and L2 channels.

2) An AIRS photometric calibration test is scheduled for Saturday, December 7.  Here is the timeline (UT):

4) MODIS Lunar Calibration roll #240 is scheduled for Thursday, December 12.  Here is the timeline (UT):
   347/20:32:00  AIRS put into READY mode prior to Lunar Cal
   347/20:54:00  AIRS back in OPERATE mode
